What’s new at Soul Craft Coffee!
Let’s start with a word of thanks.
From 2017 when we were slinging drinks in our coffee truck, to 2019 and the opening of our brick and mortar shop, you’ve carried us.
Your patronage has allowed Soul Craft to hire and maintain a staff of the best young people (our opinion, but also scientific fact) in Cookeville.
Your smiling faces energize, restore, and motivate.
We love you.
And, we think it’s time for deeper connection.
Hence, the quarterly newsletter you’re reading now.
More than coffee, this series will focus on the community YOU have helped us build.
We’ll be sharing personal stories, advertising upcoming classes, relaying new drinks or menu items, and bearing our hearts with you through this outlet.
We’re glad you’re with us.
In our first installment, let’s pull back the curtain on a recent trip Tyler and I took to Costa Rica.
While there, we met with the amazing team at Exclusive Coffee who allowed us to sample some of the highest grade beans this java-renowned country has to offer.
We were given a private tour which included a cupping (tasting) led by the fabulous flavor wizard Weymer who talked us through 15 truly incredible Costa Rican coffees.
In addition to sampling some of the finest our industry has to offer, we were educated on the ways Exclusive Coffee sources products (including the delicious Crema Coffee Roaster beans we use at Soul Craft daily), grades to exacting standards, and cares for the gifted farmers who bring the best coffee in the world to life.
The joy we saw in the eyes of the folks at Exclusive Coffee reminded us of the excitement we feel watching a Soul Craft “regular” savor their first sip of Crema or Edison (we’re looking at you Katie Hall).
We were in coffee heaven, but we missed you.
The truth is, while we OBSESS over the craft of coffee, our real mission is to bring people just like you together through shared interests, passion for connection, delicious beverages, and love for the Historic WestSide.
If we’re honest, while the trip was educational and inspiring, we couldn’t wait to get home and serve delicious coffee to you, Soul Craft friends.
We feel like our journey is just beginning and we’re so proud you’re part of it.
To stay informed on all things Soul Craft and beyond keep an eye out for the next installment! Thanks for reading!
